On May 30, 2024, the Einstein-Rockefeller-CUNY Center for AIDS Research (ERC CFAR) convened a half-day symposium featuring a keynote address by Sarah Braunstein, Assistant Commissioner for the Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV and STI at the NYC Health Department, and three sessions comprised of NYC Health Department-CFAR research collaborations across HIV prevention, HIV treatment, and future directions. In the HIV treatment panel, ISPH Research Scientist Rebecca Zimba presented work from the APPLI Study, Affiliate Investigator Tigran Avoundjian presented work from the Data-to-Suppression (D2S) and DISCO Studies, and Investigator Heidi Jones presented findings from a study that used electronic healthcare record data obtained through a collaboration with Montefiore, Mount Sinai, and Northwell to investigate COVID-19 outcomes among people living with HIV. Investigator Christian Grov moderated the HIV prevention panel session.
