CUNY ISPH Investigator Elizabeth Kelvin appointed interim CUNY SPH Associate Dean for Research

Investigator Dr. Elizabeth Kelvin has been appointed the interim associate dean for research at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH), effective August 16, 2025.

Dr. Kelvin is an associate professor with the CUNY SPH Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a researcher at the CUNY Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health (ISPH) and the Center for Immigrant, Refugee and Global Health (CIRGH). She is also a member of the Data Core of the Preparedness & Recovery Institute (PRI). Her research focuses on infectious disease epidemiology and she has conducted a number of studies, including treatment and prevention randomized controlled trials, in the United States, Latin America and Africa.

In this new role, Dr. Kelvin will lead the Office of Sponsored Projects and Research (SPaR), which provides pre- and post-award research support, assuring human subject protection, and research compliance. She will be taking over from Dr. Michele Kiely, who is retiring after a decade of service as the associate dean for research.
