Kate Penrose is a Project Director at the ISPH, overseeing Project PROTECTS.  With more than 15 years of experience in research and evaluation, her interests include infectious disease, behavioral health, and structural determinants of health.  Prior to joining the ISPH, Kate’s work focused on implementing and evaluating community justice programs in New York City.  She has also worked as an epidemiologist with health departments in New York City and the state of Massachusetts on HIV, hepatitis C, and refugee and immigrant health.

Kate holds an MS in Population and International Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
