Thamara is a Research Assistant at the ISPH. She is a trained psychologist with experience in research in mental health, stigma, and discrimination, as well as designing and validating health measures. Her professional interests include mental health among the elderly, especially loneliness in the older populations and Late-life depression, epidemiological methods applied to mental health research, and Implementation Science.

She completed a Bachelor in Psychology in Universidad de Valparaiso in Chile, a Master in Aging and Quality of Life at University of Chile, and is currently finishing a Master of Science in Epidemiology at Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health.
