Dr. Sophia D Arabadjis is a research scientist with CUNY ISPH. Broadly, she is interested in how health, wellbeing, and access to services vary by cumulative environmental and social exposures. She has a particular interest in measurement of exposure, effects and uncertainty across geographic contexts. At ISPH, she works on a variety of projects focused on modeling exposure to extreme weather events and health outcomes.
Prior to joining CUNY ISPH, Dr. Arabadjis completed her PhD in Geography at the University of California Santa Barbara along with an MA in Applied Statistics and Data Science and an interdisciplinary Demography Emphasis. She also holds an MSc in Applied Social Research from Trinity College Dublin and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
