Emily Berger

Project Coordinator

Emily Berger is a Project Coordinator with ISPH, working on a new epidemiological research project that follows a longitudinal cohort with a focus on COVID-19 and respiratory disease. Previously, Emily served as a Resource Navigator for RF CUNY, utilizing strong communication skills to provide support to New Yorkers affected by COVID-19 and Long COVID, while connecting them to resources to address their needs. She brings valuable experience in community outreach and health education, combined with her academic background in epidemiology and research. Emily is passionate about improving the health and well-being of communities facing health and socioeconomic disparities.

Emily earned her BS in Health Science from Boston University, while interning at the NYS Department of Health. Emily then obtained her MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the CUNY School of Public Health, where she published research about the impact of food insecurity on college students’ mental health and educational experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.
