The objective of this study is to design, develop and implement mobile based SMAART platform to monitor the burden of road traffic injuries in the five states of India. The IRIS implementation included implementation of the surveillance system to track the burden of road traffic injuries by integrating data gathering across the healthcare facilities, community settings, trauma centers, police stations and mobile ambulances.
