Dave Zackin, MA, MPH

Visualization and Infographic Designer

Dave Zackin is a graphic designer and visual artist with a background in public health and urban studies. He holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, an MA from Queens College, and an MPH from the CUNY School of Public Health. In 2012 he redesigned official City of New York recycling decals, bins, logos, and educational materials for the NYC Department of Sanitation’s introduction of all-plastics recycling. From 2013-2018 he was the lead designer at NYC Health + Hospitals, NYC’s 40,000 employee public hospital system. While there he implemented a major visual rebranding project, uniting the city’s eleven hospitals, and eighty clinics under a single logo, naming convention, and design system. Dave’s medical illustration work was featured in Chronicle Books’ The Where, They Why, and The How.
