CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy Professor and ISPH Investigator Christian Grov, chair of the department of Community Health and Social Sciences, has been selected to be the new Editor-in-Chief for the peer-reviewed journal Sexuality Research and Social Policy (Springer Science+Business Media, a leading international scientific publisher).

The journal is an international forum for the publication of original state-of-the-art empirical research on sexuality, theoretical and methodological discussions, and the implications of this evidence for policies across the globe regarding sexual health, sexuality education, and sexual rights in diverse communities.

“We are living in troubling political and social times, both domestically and internationally,” says Grov. “Now more than ever can we see the important role that social policy plays in so many facets of our everyday lives. In my role as Editor-in-Chief, I will seek to re-center social policy within sexuality research.”

Grov has made numerous contributions to the scientific study of sexuality, addressing a wide range of topics such as sex work, (non)-monogamy, HIV/STI prevention, and the LGB coming out process.

Sexuality Research and Social Policy is published four times a year and 2020 will see the 17th volume. It is published by Springer.
